Pomaire is a small village in central Chile with a population of approximately 6000 inhabitants. When you walk down its main street shops overflow with ceramic pottery in the form of vases, plates, and pots. The ceramics are characterized by a reddish tone and shiny smooth surface. The artisans have conserved the tradition of working with clay using basically the same techniques passed down from generation to generation for hundreds of years.
